Tell me more about the Good Sam Overnight Stays portal.

The Good Sam Overnight Stays portal is set to launch in April 2025. It will offer Good Sam Elite Members exclusive access to single night stops at breweries, vineyards, farms, and other one-of-a-kind destinations between longer campground stays, creating a seamless travel experience. Since members travel in fully self-contained RVs, there’s no need to provide hookups. All you need to offer is a free overnight stay in a safe spot for at least one RV—gravel, grass, or pavement is perfect!

Why should I join?

Joining is completely FREE and our reservation system makes it easy to accept or reject stay requests. Plus, there is no long-term commitment, so if it is not the right fit, we will remove your listing. The portal gives you access to Good Sam Members, the largest RV community in North America. Over 60% of Members prefer local dining options and experiences and spend on average ~$30 during their stay. Whether it’s enjoying a tasting, purchasing products, or exploring your unique offerings, they love supporting local businesses like yours while making their travels memorable.

How does the reservation process work?

 The reservation process is simple and puts you in control. Elite Members will visit the Overnight Stays portal to browse host profiles and submit stay requests. Host profiles include essential details such as location, parking information, RV size restrictions, pet policies, preferred arrival times and more.

Member can submit requests up to six months in advance with unavailable dates automatically blocked. Once a request is made, you will receive a booking notification via email and your host dashboard. Accept or decline requests with a single click, and if needed, communicate with guests via email, text, or phone to finalize details or confirm their stay.

Am I required to host every day?

Not at all! The flexibility of this program lets you host on your terms. You control your calendar, deciding when to host and how many RVs to accommodate. Block off dates as needed and adjust your availability during busy or slower periods to suit your needs.

Can I charge for extra amenities?

Of course! Our Elite Members are seeking out unique experiences so you are welcome to offer tastings, tours, special events and other activities and services. Plus, our Members also seek out RV specific services such as electric hookups, water access, WiFi access and sewer hookups that they are willing to pay for.

What requirements do I need to fulfill to be a host?

To become a host, you must provide:

  • A safe, legal parking area for RVs - gravel, grass, or pavement is fine.
  • Compliance with any local zoning laws and regulations.
  • Commercial general liability insurance for your property with coverage limits no less than $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in aggregate.
  • No hookups or amenities are required, though you can offer them as extras if you would like.
